Sentinel Boats are a profesional Yacht building company. They are suppliers of Traditional Daysailers, rowing skiffs, yachts, marine equipment and offering a chandling service to the Hout Bay Marina.
Sentinel Boats builds two stock designs, both designed for them by Hout Bay designer Dudley Dix. The Explorer is an 18 ft, gunter rigged open day boat, while the Challenger, her 14 foot little sister, can be rigged with either a standing lug or gunter rig. Other boats, mainly those designed by Dudley Dix are built on a custom basis.

Glendower Golf Club extremely well designed golf course rated 5th best golf course in South Africa, which opened in 1937, is situated against a tree-covered slope. There are numerous hazards and lead to excellent greens, 85 bunkers and water comes into play on 11 of the holes.
